A Rose Garden in Full Bloom

Nestled within old stone walls, Barney and Victoria’s enchanting rose garden is a haven for florists seeking beautifully scented, heirloom blooms. What began with annuals and perennials has flourished into a space dominated by old roses—pre-1920 varieties with romantic French names—alongside exquisite David Austin roses. The roses are renowned for their generous stems-perfect for dramatic floral arrangements.

I always love visiting Stokesay Flowers, catching up with Victoria and Barney, and photographing their amazing cut flower garden. Here’s a little collection showing the roses in bright sunshine and later in the evening, two very different vibes!
